Submissions

ANYONE from Years 7-12 can write and submit an article for We Are. The content must respect and uphold the Core Principles, as well as the Contributor’s Code. To submit content, follow the below process, sending your content via the webform below.

When the articles are submitted, the Editorial Team observes the right to edit for content, clarity, and length. All content that is published on We Are is edited to ensure that it is completely factual. All articles are edited to ensure grammar and punctuation is correct, so that it makes logical sense to readers. Further, the articles are edited to be in a length of 450-1500 words; an article length determined by the Team.

By editing with these 3 purposes in mind, this enables the Editorial Team to ensure all content observes the Contributor’s Code. As a result, the Team has the right to withhold any submission from publication for any reason. Your submission will be responded to by the Editorial Team regarding these outcomes.

Once the article is edited, one of the following options will be followed to ensure authenticity of crediting the published content:

  1. When an article is published largely as submitted with only basic editing, the work is credited to the original author.
  2. When an article is published with thorough edits and revisions, the original author will be credited, alongside the Editor of the article. The original author will be notified of this prior to publication.
  3. When an article is published with extensive amounts of re-writing and substantial changes, the original author and Editor will be referred to as “Co-Writers.” The original author will be notified of this prior to publication.
