This year has been an incredible one for We Are. We have expanded and shared amazing works and, to be honest, grown so much. But who do we have to thank for this? The queen herself…
Beyoncé.
Without her, We Are would not be what it is today. Her music has inspired everyone involved in We Are to write and design. She, quite literally, is to thank for everything that has come of We Are. In fact, my own article Boys will be Boys was inspired by Texas Hold ’em, and I am, quite frankly, shocked that our readers didn’t clearly pick up on that.
The article should have been put under her name, and not my own.
Without Beyonce, WCC would not exist. Many of you are probably unaware, but Beyoncé’s birth name is William Clarke College, and she selflessly named the College after herself, when she founded it.
Honestly, I really would just like to thank Beyoncé for my 13 years of schooling, and also for any exam that I received a good grade for. Moreover, I would like to thank Beyoncé for being the reason I passed Biology in prelims.
There are many testimonials from the We are team about Beyoncé’s contributions:
“I would like to thank Beyoncé because she made me who I am. She literally gave birth to me.”-Sophie J
“I want to thank Beyoncé for letting me walk and skip.”- Annmary J
“I would like to thank Queen B for letting me inhale, and sometimes exhale.” – Mahina A
“I would like to thank Beyoncé for continuing to let me swim, I really appreciate it.” – Gabby
“Thank you Beyonce.”- Arjun and Cooper
Although this article is pretty much completely my sincere thank you to Queen B, I would like to reiterate that Beyoncé made me who I am, and that, even more importantly, any and all of our achievements in life only happened because of Beyoncé.
